    Hi Laura,

I am really loving the information you are providing in the Niche and Fill My Practice seminar. I haven’t been so excited about new information in a long time. I am actually retired from clinical work after owning and managing a group practice for 20 years. That practice was very successful in this community, and marketing was based upon the old model of marketing mental health services. After selling the practice to another clinician two years ago, I have watched the group struggle to keep things going, and to fill the practice of the 8 clinicians on staff there. I have done a little consulting with them, and am fully aware that much of the marketing system that I used needs to be brought into the new age of possibilities. I have been taking advantage of many opportunities to learn new marketing strategies, and in fact took advantage of the TeleSummit during the winter. I am intrigued about the potential of applying the Blueprint to a group practice. Do you have any experience with that type of application? Would it begin with each clinician establishing a niche for themselves? Or would it mean the practice as a whole becoming a more specialized service? Any thoughts on this might be helpful to me.

    Hi Dianne,
What a delight to hear you are learning so much and you are excited about the info on the Niche and Fill My Practice teleseminar. This is a great question and I’m sure that others on the call will benefit from the answer as well, so I’ll talk about it on the Q&A call.
    Talk with you Tuesday!

    Laura,

I arrived a little late to the call last night. I have listened to the replay and appreciate you addressing my question. I would love to have talked with you personally. Your response actually confirmed what I had been thinking in terms of the difficulty in marketing a group practice.

Thanks for the reminder of the copyright issues. I certainly would not pass on your materials to others, but would refer them to your website, and the opportunities to learn from you. I have worked through the blueprint myself and it almost makes me interested in resuming my practice!

My intent in learning about new marketing strategies is simply to be able to interest those in my former practice in thinking about new possibilities. I will put together for them a list of some of the websites and blogs that I have found helpful and interesting. Yours will be tops on the list! Hopefully that will inspire them to keep learning.

Thanks again for what you do, and you may find me in other tele-seminars as I continue to learn.

  4. Hi Dianne,

Thanks so much for the question. Yes, it’s a difficult one to answer, and until the practice has some type of unified focus they may continue to struggle.

Thanks for including me as part of the resources they can refer to. As for your own practice, what exciting possibilities! Keep me posted :) and I hope to talk with you on future calls!

    hi Laura!

I just completed your 3 day series on Niche and Fill My practice. I have a question about the 9-Point Connection Checklist. Clarification…is this done when a client calls in to inquire about making an appt or when they come in for their first visit? Sorry if I missed this in the call. I listened to the call again and still wanted to double check. thanks!

    Laura

    Hi Laura,

Thanks for connecting! I use the 9-point connection checklist when I have the initial phone consultation. You may use it however you see it fitting in your work. Enjoy!
